Elfriede Fischinger Memorial
In May, 1999, the iota community suffered the loss of a very special friend and colleague. The extraordinary Elfriede Fischinger passed away at the age of 88. Elfriede was known and loved by the animation and film community throughout the world. As a member of our Advisory Council, Elfriede was proud of The iotaCenter and supported it with generous donations of materials from the Fischinger Archives including original animation artwork and paintings. And we, too, are especially proud of and grateful for her vote of confidence as stewards of this part of the Fischinger legacy.
[In 2005, all this previously donated material was returned to the Fischinger Trust at the request of its director, Barbara Fischinger, Elfriede's daughter].
Please visit our memorial to this remarkable woman:

Colored Rhythm is in no way an illustration or an
interpretation of a musical work. It is an art in itself, even if it is
based on the same psychological facts as music.
